✦ Zirr bin Habaish Radi Allahu Anhu kahte hai ki maine Abi bin kaab Radi Allahu Anhu se pucha ki tumhare bhai ibn Masood Radi Allahu Anhu kahte hain ki jo saal bhar (ibadat ke liye) barabar jagega wo shab e qar pa lega to unhone kaha Allah rahmat kare un par unhone ye isliye kaha kyunki log kahi ek hi raat par bharosa na kar le (bulki hamesha ibadat karte rahe) aur wo achchi tarah jante hain ki wo Ramzan mein hai aur aakhri ashre mein hai aur wo 27 raat ko hai phir wo us par qasam khate they aur in sha Allah bhi nahi kahte (yani unhe aisa pukhta yakeen tha 27 ki shab e qadr hone par) aur wo shab qadr 27 ko hai , to maine unse pucha ki eh abu munzir aap kaise ye dawa karte ho unhone kaha ki ye ek nishani ki wajah se jo Rasool-Allah Sal-Allahu Alaihi wasallam ne humko batayee thi aur wo ye hai ki uski (shab e qadr ki) subah ka jo aaftab nikalta hai to usmein shuaa (kirnein) nahi hoti 

(magar ye nishani zawal e shab ke bad ke bad zahir hoti hai)

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

Allahumma innaka afuwwun tuhibbul-afwa, fafu anni

Ya Allah tu maaf karne wala hai aur maaf karne ko pasand karta hai isliye mujhe maaf farma

✦ ज़ीर बिन हबैश रदी अल्लाहू अन्हु कहते है की मैने अबी बिन काब रदी अल्लाहू अन्हु से पूछा की तुम्हारे भाई ईब्न मसूद रदी अल्लाहू अन्हु कहते हैं की जो साल भर (इबादत के लिए) बराबर जागेगा वो शब ए कद्र पा लेगा तो उन्होंने कहा अल्लाह रहमत करे उन पर, उन्होने ये इसलिए कहा क्यूंकी लोग कही एक ही रात पर भरोसा ना कर ले (बल्कि हमेशा इबादत करते रहे) और वो अच्छी तरह जानते हैं की वो रमज़ान में है और आखरी अशरे में है और वो 27 रात को है फिर वो उस पर क़सम खाते थे और इन शा अल्लाह भी नही कहते (यानी उन्हे ऐसा पुख़्ता यकीन था 27 की शब ए क़द्र होने पर) और वो शब क़द्र 27 को है , तो मैने उनसे पूछा की एह अबू मुन्ज़िर आप कैसे ये दावा करते हो उन्होने कहा की ये एक निशानी की वजह से जो रसूल-अल्लाह सलअल्लाहू अलैही वसल्लम ने हमको बताई थी और वो ये है की उसकी (शब ए क़द्र की) सुबह का जो आफताब निकलता है तो उसमें शुआअ (किरणें) नही होती 

(मगर ये निशानी ज़वाल ए शब के बाद के बाद ज़ाहिर होती है)

✦ Zirr bin Habaish Radi Allahu Anhu reported I thu asked Ubayy bin Ka'b Radi Allahu Anhu Your brother (in faith) Ibn Mas'ud Radi Allahu Anhu says He who stands (for the night prayer) throughout the year would find Lailat-ul-Qadr, whereupon he said: May Allah have mercy upon him; (he said these words) with the intention that people might not rely only (on one night), whereas he knew that it (Lailat-ul-Qadr) is in the month of Ramadan and it is the twenty-seventh night. He then took oath (without making any exception, i. e. without saying In sha Allah) that it was the twenty-seventh night. I said to him: Abu Mundhir, on what ground do you say that? Thereupon he said: By the indication or by the sign which the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave us, and that is that on that day (the sun) would rise without having any ray in it.
